4 held after ‘sacrifice’ of 5 boys in Maha village
Aurangabad, March 18: Five children were killed since December in a suspected case of child sacrifice in a village in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district. The police has arrested four persons, including three women, to unravel the mystery.
The boys, aged between 4-12 years, belong to a family in Digras village in Maharashtra and were killed between December 2009-March 2010, the police said.

Melbourne, March 18: A new book about 20th-century reporting by author John Simpson says Hitler declared cricket as “unmanly” and tried to rewrite the laws of the game. Simpson cites the piece as appearing in the Daily Mirror in 1930. He says that Oliver Locker-Lampson, an MP, decorated wartime veteran, right-wing zealot and fervent admirer of Hitler, wrote an article under the headline “Adolf Hitler As I Know Him” on September 30, 1930, as the Nazis’ rise to power gathered pace.
Pawar hints APL to face ration rice, wheat hikes
New Delhi ,March 18: Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar has ruled out the export of surplus wheat lying in godowns and indicated that Above Poverty Line (APL) families might have to pay more to buy wheat and rice through the public distribution system. The allocation made for such families should also go up, he said.
