AAI names 8-member team for World Cup
India will send an eight-member recurve archery squad to vie for top honours in the upcoming World Cup Stage II at Antalya (Turkey) from June 7 to11, the Archery Association of India (AAI) said on Monday.
The association though did not name a compound squad for the Turkey event.
However, an eight-member compound squad was picked for the third Asian Grand Prix to be held in Chinese Taipei from June 28 to July 2.
A 16-member Indian contingent took part in the World Cup Stage I at Porec, Croatia, from May 4 to 8, but returned home with only a silver medal in the men’s team recurve event. — PTI
