Akhil looks to extend dominance
Akhil Khuslani will look to consolidate his championship lead in the second round of the JK Tyre Racing India Series that gets under way at the Kari Motor Speedway on Saturday.
In the season opener held at the same venue last month, the Hyderabad youngster made a clean sweep by winning all three races in the FB02 class. Akhil has amassed 84 points. Chennai’s Vishnu Prasad and Akhil
Rabindra share the second spot with 37 points each, while young Arjun Maini is three points behind the duo.
The second round to be held this weekend will witness three races each of the FB02 and Formula 4, and two races of Volkswagen Polo R Cup apart from a host of other exciting support events.
The main attraction in Round 2 will be full-scale remote controlled cars, capable of reaching impressive speeds. A tailor-made course has been prepared at Kari Speedway for the robot cars to enthrall the crowd.
