Andhra Pradesh emerges overall champion in Kickboxing

Andhra Pradesh with 85 points bagged the overall Team championship of the 18th Seniors and 17th Juniors National Kickboxing championship on the final day here on Sunday.

In the Seniors category, Assam Rifles secured the first place in the team championship with nine gold, four silver and three bronze medals while Delhi was placed second with six gold, five silver and five bronze medals.

In the Junior category, Haryana secured the first place with ten gold, three silver and three bronze while Punjab followed with nine gold, four silver and three bronze and Andhra Pradesh was at third place with eight gold, eight silver and 14 bronze.

Sachin Panwar of Orissa was declared as the best fighter in the senior category and Guma Kumar of Uttar Pradesh in female category.

In the junior category, A Solo of Nagaland was declared as the best fighter in Men's category while Mandip Kaur of Punjab in the women's category.
