Arun George of Pathanamthitta and Arathi Sarah Sunil of Ernakulam clinched the men’s and women’s single title in the state senior badminton championship held at Udyogamandal in Kochi on Sunday.

Arun George defeated Alwin Francis of Ernakulam 24-22, 21-17 and Arathi trounced Megha Merin Ninan of Ernakulam 21-15 21-14 in the finals.

In the men’s doubles, Ram C. Vijay- S. Sunjith duo of Kozhikode defeated Dilshad and Javan James of Ernakulam in a three-setter 21-11 15-21 21-14.

In the women’s doubles Agna Anto and Haritha of Ernakulam came back from behind to defeat their city mates P. S Anumol and P.S Linimol 14-21, 21-17 21-17. In the mixed doubles, Ram C. Vijay and Susan Rajan lifted the title defeated S. Sunjith and Linimol 21-17 21-14.
