Big win for Delhi girls, TN boys pip K’taka

Delhi girls swept Chandigarh aside 43-6 in a league match of the 40th sub-junior basketball championship at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna on Monday.

Aarushi scored nine points, while Ridhima and Shubham had eight each, in Delhi’s big win.
In other matches, Uttar Pradesh rode on goods shows from Vaishnavi Yadav and Manya Awasthi (14 points each) as they beat Haryana 51-28.
Later, Tamil Nadu quelled Karnataka’s challenge, defeating them 44-23.
In the boys’ section, Madhya Pradesh defeated Jharkhand 46-20.
Earlier on Sunday evening, Tamil Nadu boys downed Uttar Pradesh 51-49 in a close affair, while Bihar defeated Tripura 45-16.
