Bindu, Balaji rock the show
International ace, Nadia Haridass of Embassy International Riding School clinched the novice dressage event of the sixth and final leg of the Prestige Equestrian Premier League conducted by the Embassy Riding School over the weekend.
Nadia topped the table with ten points to take home the title. In the Preliminary Dressage confined category, 17-year-old Bindu Muniyappa , a student of Seshadripuram College with 24 points was a comfortable winner with Mahesh S finishing second with 17 points while another rider from EIRS, Aisling O’Neil was third with 15.
But the pick of the day was 12-year-old Balaji Vijayshankar. The class seven student of Vidya Shilp Academy, who in his first competitive year has shown tremendous promise, hogged the limelight.
Balaji, who has been on the podium in the previous five legs of the event, continued with his impressive performance, finishing second in the preliminary dressage (Open) category, third in the Jumping Equitation 60cm (open) category. After his exploits in the open category, he won gold in the Class 1 children’s category.
