Choudhary back to winning ways
Hyderabad, July 27: If he suffered his first defeat in numerous races on Monday, it seemed more like an aberration as veteran Rajesh Choudhary sailed his way to first place finish in both the races of Laser Radial category (seventh and eighth races of the event) at the ongoing National Sailing Championships at the Hussainsagar on Tuesday morning.
On a day when the weather was relentless with its huge shifts, Rajesh displayed his tactical acumen to clinch the first race in 57 minutes and 58 seconds while B.K. Rout (58 minutes and 20 seconds) and Ramesh Kumar (59 minutes) were second and third respectively. Rajesh cruised to victory in the second race of the Laser Radial event, leaving the rest of the pack by some distance.
In the Laser Standard category, Naveen Kumar won the first race (seventh of the event) while Mohan Lal sailed to top spot in the second race (eighth of event).
The 4.7 Class saw B. Hussain winning the seventh race of the event in 40 minutes and 51 seconds while Rufus Patrick and Shaila Charles bagged the second and third spot. However, Rufus pipped Hussain to the post in the second race (eighth of the category).
