Corporate meet from Sept. 17

Hyderabad, Sept. 4: The Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy will organise a corporate badminton tournament from September 17 to 19 at the academy premises in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

‘Lets Shuttle’ is an initiative by national chief coach and former All-England Open champion Pullela Gopichand to raise funds to upgrade the infrastructure and train badminton champions for the country. “The corporate tournament will be one of its kind with a different game format. There will be celebrity matches to add a fun element to the games,” said Gopichand.

“Apart from the tourney, there will be a talent search simultaneously. Of the 200 children from the twin cities, we will select the talented ones who will be trained here on either subsidised rates or free of cost depending on the situation,” said Gopichand.
