Eban to attend basketball camp
Eban Hyams, a professional basketball player who recently joined the NBA as manager of basketball operations, will reach Kochi on Friday to evaluate the Generation Adidas basketball clinic.
Eban is professional player who have basketball leagues in Australia and Israel.
He was also a professional basketball player at Galil Elyon and Pro basketball at Singapore Slingers. At present he is assisting in the daily administration of the Mahindra NBA Challenge, NBA/Jr. WNBA, NBA 3x, and NBA Jam programmes.
He has arrived in India to provide basketball training youth in fundamental skill development, advanced individual training, strength, nutrition, and conditioning education.
The Generation Adidas 1st Camp, in which 40 selected players from the sub junior as well as youth divisions of the ongoing Mahindra NBA Challenge took part, was held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium on August 18. The players were evaluated by Troy Justice the Sr. Director of basketball operations, NBA India.
The Generation Adidas Camp was designed in each subsequent city with a goal of identifying and nurturing the next generation of basketball talent across the country.
Eban is coming to evaluate and also finalise the final eight Players from the 40 Players selected . The top eight players selected from the clinics will receive one year of specialised training and Adidas basketball gear.
The Mahindra NBA Challenge will culminate this weekend and will feature an all-star game on Friday. The event will engage the community with NBA-style entertainment, musical performances and oncourt basketball contests where fans can win exciting prizes.
