Ghosh, Naik clinch rally of coimbatore
Amittrajith Ghosh and his navigator Ashwin Naik emerged champions of the Rally of Coimbatore, the third round of the Indian National Rally Championship, on Sunday. Ghosh’s Cedia finished the two-day event with a total time of 1:42:42.90, a healthy two-minute margin over Vikram Devadasen (Srikanth Gowda). It was Ghosh’s third straight victory in this season.
Ace rallyist Gaurav Gill won the SUV class ahead of his Mahindra teammate Lohitt Urs. Former WRC Production class champion Karamjit Singh bounced back strongly after a disappointing Day 1 to take the honours in the IRC category.
The 347km-rally concluded on the tarmac of Kari Motor Speedway with a Super Special stage that saw Ghosh and Gill enthralling the capacity audience with some power slides. The fourth round of the INRC will be held at Bengaluru next month.
