Gurbani wins B’luru jr title

Gurbani Singh played a stunning front nine and then held her nerve in the closing stages of the final day to win the Usha Karnataka ladies and junior girls golf tournament in Bengaluru on on Friday.

Gurbani, who trailed Aditi Ashok by a shot at the end of the second round, sank four birdies in eight holes on the front nine even as Aditi herself had four birdies. But Gurbani was flawless, while Aditi had bogeys on second and fifth holes.
Gauri Monga’s form once again deserted her. After a 77 she carded 66 on second day and she shot 75 on the final day to end up at 218, 11 shots behind the winner and 10 behind second placed Aditi.
