Hockey coach quits, says he is innocent
Hockey seems to have earned a reputation of being in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The latest in the line is the resignation of women’s national coach M.K. Kaushik after charges of sexual harassment were levelled against him by national camper Ranjitha Devi.
Incidentally, Devi’s letter, which contained allegations of sexual misconduct on the part of Kaushik, was supported by 31 others.
Kaushik, whose contract as head coach expires after the Asian Games in November, said that he was innocent and this was a “conspiracy to tarnish my image” by players who had failed to find a place in the national team.
