INRC rolls out today
The return of six-time national champion Naren Kumar (co-driver Ram Kumar) has spiced up the 2010 Speed Indian National Rally Championship, that kicks off with the first round here on Friday.
Naren, a former Production World Rally Championship driver, will drive for Red Rooster Racing and will be the one to watch out for in the Rally of Maharashtra, run on tarmac.
Defending champion Gaurav Gill (Musa Sheriff) of Team MRF, who returns to INRC after taking part in the first two legs of the APRC, will be in for a tough ride with Naren’s return. Naren, who is making a comeback after an 18 months sabbatical, is confident that he can land the spoils for RRR, after the Bengaluru-based team had a poor outing last season.
The rally is scheduled to run a total distance of 564 kms with 452 kms of Liaison distance and 112 kms of Special Stage rallying.
