Kerala win National Taekwondo Championship
Kerala amassed 120 points to emerge as the overall winners in the 32nd National Junior Boys and Girls Taekwondo Championship, which concluded at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here.
While Kerala boys earned 63 points to emerge as toppers, the girls team from the state grabbed 57 points to stay at the apex.
Delhi with 79 points finished overall second.
Hosts Arunachal Pradesh had a disappointing finish as they drew a blank with all there 14 participants failing to make any sort of impression.
Madhya Pradesh (45) and Uttar Pradesh (37), meanwhile, finished second and third respectively in the boys category.
Delhi girls with 50 points in their kitty stood second followed by Assam with 38 points.
The 'Best Fighting Spirit' award went to Goa, while Bihar received the 'Active Participation' trophy.
In girls category the distinction was awarded to Haryana and Tamil Nadu respectively.
