Kynan books a berth in national side

Hyderabad, Jan. 28: It was memorable day for city shooter Kynan Chenai as he made it to the Indian national team in the trap event category based on the selection trials that were held in New Delhi.

“This is my first time in the seniors team and I am quite excited about it. I will definitely want to give my best,” Kynan said. Kynan will be part of the Indian men’s trap team that includes stalwarts such as Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh.

Kynan scored 118 in the nationals while in the selection trials, his scores were 114 and 116. “My next event was in Egypt but we will not be going due to the prevailing situation there,” he said. Kynan’s next target will be at the World Cup in March at Chile.
