Second seed Gaurav Nandrajog stunned top seed Sandeep Jangra 3-2 (7-11, 7-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-7) in final of the Coca-Cola squash Open championship 2012, played at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Squash Courts, in RK Puram in New Delhi on Sunday.

It marked an outstanding comeback by Nandrajog, who was out for a yeat with an injury. At the 2006 senior national Championship, he beat Ritwik Bhattacharya in the semi-finals.
Jangara, who clinched a bronze medal in the team championship of the 2010 Asian Games, won the first two games. But, Nandrajog hit form in the third game and was unstoppable thereafter and was rewarded with the winner’s purse of Rs 35,000.
In the men’s U-23 final, Karm Kumar became the first champion of the newly introduced category of the tournament, organised by Indian Squash Professionals, thrashing Rishi Jalan 3-0 (11-8, 11-8, 11-7).
In the girl’s U-19 final, Urwashi Joshi easily defeated Tanvi Khanna 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-5). In the boys’ U-17 final, Ranjit Singh upset Ashwary Singh 3-0 (11-9, 11-4, 11-3) in the toughest match of Day 6.
More than 350 players of all age-categories from all over the country competed for a prize money purse of `3.25 lakh.
