ONGC retained All India Public Sector Football tournament title after defeating State Bank of Travancore 10-9 via sudden death penalty shootout in the summit clash at Ambedkar Stadium here today.

In an exciting final match, both the teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the regulation period.

ONGC took the lead through their striker Kailash Patil whose fine curling shot from the top of the box found the net in the 34th minute.

SBT equalised in the 61st minute when Sarath B T's fine left-footer from the top of the box found the target.
