Ronjan Sodhi gets Khel Ratna, Virat Kohli and P V Sindhu gets Arjuna Award
Fourteen sportspersons are set to receive the Arjuna Award this year for excelling in various forms of sports in the country.
Virat Kohli and PV Sindhu after their recent performance will be given the Arjuna Award. Kohli hasbeen consistent with the bat for India and have recently led India in the one-day series in Zimbabwe while P V Sindhu has created history after becoming the first women in India to qualify into the semi-finals of the World badminton championships and only the second Indian after Prakash Padukone to win a medal in the prestigious tournamnet.
Virat Kohli recently captained India to a 5-0 One-day international series victory in Zimbabwe while PV Sindhu won a historic bronze medal at the recently-concluded world badminton championships.Meanwhile, ace shooter Ronjan Sodhi is set to be awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India's highest sporting honour.
The double Olympic trap shooter was picked for the award by the selection committee.
