Shimla Young FA to face Delhi Students
Shimla Youngs Football Academy and Delhi Students FA will clash in the second semi-final of the Delhi Soccer Association inter-academies football tournament 2013 for the Delhi United Cup.
In Wednesday’s quarter-finals at the CWG Village Sports Complex, Shimla Youngs FA trounced Milestone FA 6-0, on the back of four goals from striker Abhyuday.
Besides Abhyuday, who struck in the third, 19th, 22nd and 34th minutes, Mitrutanday (16th) and Yash Kumar (46th) completed the rout.
Later, Delhi Students FA pipped DSA FA 3-2 in an engrossing encounter to make it to the last-four stage. The highlight of the match was a brace from Akash in the 40th and 48th minutes.
Conscient Football Academy and Baichung Bhutia Football have already made it to the semi-finals. Both the semi-finals will be played on Thursday.

Udaybhan Academy enter semi-finals
New Delhi: Gaurav Sharma scored 55, while Yusuf Mansuri claimed four wickets to help Udaybhan Academy beat Prabhu Dayal Academy by 52 runs in the quarter-finals of the Shalimar Ajay Mittal Memorial cricket tournament at the Ashok Vihar grounds on Wednesday. Batting first, Udaybhan Academy posted a challenging 239/9 in 30 overs. While Gaurav led the charge, there were valuable contributions from Priyanshu Vijayran (46), Akash Rawat (36) and Aditya Kaushik (33).
In reply, Prabhu Dayal Academy were bowled put for 187 in 30 overs. Yatin Sakuja (57) and Dhruv Thakur (51) led the way but Mansuri had the last word.

Lakshay inspires team to easy win
New Delhi: An all-round display from Lakshay Sharma (25, 4/20) coupled with Varun Rawat’s 49 helped Maulana Azad Club beat GNPS Herry Academy by 41 runs in the Sharma Sports KP Trophy Under-16 cricket tournament at the Picnic Hut grounds on Wednesday.
Rawat and Lakshay helped Maulana Azad Club post 166 in 29.4 overs. For GNPS Herry Academy, Harpreet Singh and Shubham Rawat scalped two wickets each.
In reply, GNPS Herry Academy were bowled out for 125 in 28.3 overs as Lakshay and Sparsh Gumbar (2/11) ripped through their line-up.

PMG prevail over Suresh Academy
New Delhi: Man of the match Samarth Seth smashed 97 before picking up a wicket, while Akash Deep scalped 4/30 as PMG beat Suresh Cricket Academy by 45 runs to pick up four points in the 5th Bal Bhawan Premier League cricket tournament at the Bal Bhawan School, Dwarka, on Wednesday.
Batting first, PMG scored 251 in 40 overs on Seth’s knock. Aryaman Sen chipped in with 40. For Suresh Academy, Kartik (3/10) and Chetan Chouhan (2/34) impressed with the ball. In the chase, Suresh Academy could manage only 206 in 39 overs. Ayush Laipal top-scored with 70.
