Top honours for Motilal Nehru School
Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, hosted the 27th All India IPSC swimming championship (boys and girls) over the weekend.
Over 500 children from 23 schools across the country attended the event, with the youngest swimmer being nine years old.
Rai-based Motilal Nehru School of Sports of Sonepat took the top honours in both the categories with 530 points, while Modern School, Barakhamba Road, were second with an overall tally of 456 points.
DPS, RK Puram, finished third with 437 points.
The best swimmers prize in the Under-19 boys category went to Bobby Rana of Modern School, Barakhamba Road, who set three new meet records.
The Under-19 girls title was bagged by Anjali Nair of Modern School.
In the boys Under-17 category, Harsh Yadav of the DPS, RK Puram, clinched the best swimmer prize with five new meet records, while Kavya Anand of the same school excelled among the girls.
The girls Under-14 title was bagged jointly by Diksha Tokas of the DPS, RK Puram, with three new meet records and Jasmine Chawla of DPS, Mathura Road.
