Usain Bolt gets speeding ticket for running too fast in Visa ad
Usain Bolt gets a speeding ticket in his new ad, where he is seen sprinting across London in a bid to get to the Olympic Stadium on time.
The ad is intended to showcase the Visa’s Flow Faster campaign, which will bring London 2012 to life for customers across Europe with the chance to win ticket packages to this summer’s Games, as well other prizes.
“London 2012 will be the world’s biggest sporting stage. I’ll be there with one goal in mind - to defend my Olympic titles,” the Mirror quoted Bolt, an innovation ambassador for Visa Europe as saying.
“Everyone knows and trusts the Visa brand and now that they’re making payments even easier and faster it’s a natural fit for me to work with them,” he said.
The Olympic gold medallist also shows off his football skills in this behind-the-scenes video.
The 25-year-old athlete, who is a Manchester United fan, once insisted that he was good enough to play for the Red Devils.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson even cast his eye over the Jamaican when he trained with the United team in 2009 and swapped skills with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Also starring in the Visa ad are TeamGB stars gymnast Louis Smith, BMX’s Shanaze Reade, boxer Khali Yafai, triple jumper Phillips Idowu, taekwondo’s Aaron Cook and ParalympicsGB athlete Stefanie Reid.
During Games time, Visa Europe use the latest mobile payments technology to offer contactless payment across London and at Olympic and Paralympic Games venues.
