Yoshida, Icho rack up 18th world gold for Japan
Budapest: Saori Yoshida won her 10th successive world title on Thursday while teammate Kaori Icho picked up her eighth as Japan hammered home their domination of women's freestyle wrestling.
Olympic champion Yoshida triumphed in the 55kg category to extend a winning streak which began in 2002.
Icho took gold in the 63kg division.
Japan's hopes of a third gold on Thursday were dashed, however, when Ayaka Ito was beaten in the semi-finals of the 59kg event by Hungary's Marianna Sastin who went on to clinch the title.
