Arty retreat

Babita Gupta recently unveiled the Art Spice Gallery at The Metropolitan Hotel with a group show by five contemporary artists of India. The show titled “The Urbane(e) Paradox” included works by Bikash Poddar, Niladri Paul, Niren Sengupta, Sanjay Bhattacharya and Sudip Roy and was curated by Dr Alka Raghuvanshi.
While the ambassador of Iceland, H.E. Gudmundur Eiriksson inaugurated the show, others present at the event were Ferdinand Maultasch, Australian ambassador, ambassador of Oman H.E. Sheikh Ali Sultan Al-Maani with his wife, designers Anjalee Kapoor and Anupama Dayal among others.
Babita Gupta, director of the gallery says, “Every stroke of the brush seems to define both the unfailing spirit, and the mortality, of human existence.”
