Shakespeare wallahs
Capital’s fashionistas and social butterflies savoured a bash aptly called—“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” where Marut and Anusuiya Sikka turned their DLF Promenade-based diner, Keya, into a setting straight out of the Shakespearean play. Amalgamated into the evening was designer duo, Pankaj and Nidhi’s apparel collection, that gelled very well with the theme of the evening.
Guests were greeted at the entrance with pristine white wall-hangings that flowed in the summer breeze and glowing motifs on the bar tables and walls. And guests and “muses” of the designers walked in sporting their contemporary designs with the right twist for the scorching summer.
The secret behind having muses rather than models catwalking at the bash was revealed by designer Nidhi, and she said, “We were planning something different from the usual ramp-routine and since our clothes are for real women and (not just for the lean models) we have well-known friends like Namrata Joshipura, Ambika Pillai, Anushka Menon sporting our designs here.”
Pankaj added, “Our collection is inspired by the shades of summer and are very wearable, hence it is fashion for real people.”
While Amol Vadhera looked charmed by the unique and artistically designed interiors, Anusuiya Sikka said, “The bar tables were like little glow worms in the middle of the fantastical Shakespearean setting.”
Projected reels and classics belted by the DJ added to the fervour.
