A shot story
Recently, artist Seema Kohli organised the screening of her award winning short film Swayamsiddha at Aqua, the Park along with a photography exhibition by Anshika Varma. Along with her peers and well-wishers, the evening saw the who’s who of the art fraternity coming together to enjoy the seven-minute 22 second film, which recently bagged an award at Florence Biennale. “I am very excited to see Seema’s concept. Being a painter, and having directed short films in the past, I am here to see what Seema has conceptualised,” said artist Gopi Gajwani.
“I have been following Seema’s work for a long time, and today I am here to congratulate her. One of her painting Baya khosla (which is not here today) is my personal favourite. For me, her work has certain inquisitiveness, as if she is trying to seek something within herself,” opined Prof. Robinson. Both artists dedicated two of their works (one each) to Salaam Baalak Trust.
