Lap Garden at Samrat Hotel was recently converted into a Spanish street bustling with chic senoritas. Wondering what was the occasion? Well, it was the launch of Las Ramblas, a re-creation of the famous street from Barcelona. The peppy music and live band added much pizzazz to the set-up. The event was organised with the help of Instituto Cervantes (the Spanish Cultural Center) and Spanish Embassy.
A corner with a dome-shaped tent was dedicated to videos, and another one was exclusively created to show an amazing art installation by artist Pushkar Thakur. Talking about his artwork “Telekaloveidoscope”, he said, “This creation is a mix of video, kaleidoscope and camera, hence I call it Telekaloveidoscope. If you put any object in front of this camera, you can see the various kaleidoscopic patterns and designs formed by it.”
We also met designer Ashish N. Soni, whose creation was on display at the fashion corner and he said that the preparations for the upcoming men’s fashion week is keeping him busy these days.
