This one reads like a curious case of reel meets real. Tara D’Souza (who will be seen in Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge) has a serious case of idol worship for Katrina Kaif, with whom she co-starred in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The newbie actress has even admitted that Kat and her career graph are quite an inspiration.
So is we see Tara emulating Kat on the big screen, it should hardly come as a surprise.
But here’s the twist. The characters Kat has played in her last two films, Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, bear a striking resemblance to Tara’s personality in real life — that of a bohemian, daredevil chick. To take the resemblance further, Tara is quite a pro at riding a bike, much like Kat’s Laila in ZNMD.
Tara laughs off the strange similarities between her real life persona and Kat’s onscreen one, saying, “Kat’s doing brilliantly, and working with her was just a great experience.”
