Graphic artist and designer Puneet Gupta, who has created a line of organic home décor products for Diwali, informs, “I have created a line of linen cushions and coasters in beige, gold and buttercup shades for this festive season. We have used organic fabric and hand-painted the cushions in gold and silver. Our coasters are made from recycled paper on which we have used the fine Meena art which gives them a traditional look. The series is called ‘global war’ and it is available at the Tarini store and my studio between the price range of `600 to `1,000.”
Apart from this, you can also choose bamboo frames, mugs, furniture and bookmarks. Priyanka Malhotra, director at Full Circle, says, “A lot of people are going for meaningful gifts, which are eco-friendly and also contribute to some social cause as a part of the money goes for charity. This year we are selling hand-made bamboo products, hangers with art work, and diaries with Madhubani paintings including many other products that are made of natural stuff. The price range is between `300 to `1000.”
Pradeep Sharma, deputy superintendent at TJ factory, informs, “We are putting up an exhibition of handmade and eco-friendly Diwali gifts made by Tihar Jail inmates at the Select Citywalk mall. From edibles to home décor items, everything will be between the price range of `20 to `1,000. We will be selling recycled paper products, cotton handmade shirts, wooden furniture, candles, paintings etc at the exhibition.”
