It seems Ram Gopal Varma has found — do we hear a universal groan? — yet another muse. Madhu Shalini, who will be seen in RGV’s Department however, is wisely trying to shrug off that label, given that most of Ramu’s recent ‘muses’ haven’t done too well in B’town. Also, given the special relationship that Ramu is rumoured to share with his leading ladies, 20-year-old Madhu is in no mood to take the talk lying down.
“Madhu has done a few films down South in the last five years and has seen how everything is grist to the rumour mills,” says a friend.
Madhu says she isn’t fazed by the talk because it would have surrounded whoever had happened to take up her role in Department, adding, “The cycle goes on, so I’m not going to make a scene about it.”
