The Gujarat high court on Thursday handed over the Ishrat Jehan murder case to the CBI.
In a blow to the Gujrat government, the high court said the state police could not be trusted for the enquiry.
The court reminded that the Ishrat Jehan case is exceptional as it has national branches.
The court also ordered the Special Investigation Team to file a fresh FIR with the CBI to begin its investigations into the case.
