A man was arrested today for allegedly throwing acid on his wife and daughter after his spouse suspected him of having an extramarital affair, police said.
"The victim, Rabiya (25) and her daughter Anam (3) were seriously injured when her husband Abid (30) threw acid on them on Monday morning in Faisalabad area," SP City Ganga Nath Tripathi said.
"Abid committed this act after his wife suspected him of having an illicit relationship with another woman and raised objections, Tripathi said. The mother-daughter duo is seriously injured and has been admitted to a local government hospital," he added.
