Being bad has never been so good. With every actor worth his salt, from Shah Rukh Khan to Ajay Devgn, having tried the “badman” route, small wonder then that our actresses don’t want to be left behind.
Priyanka Chopra, who first tasted success with a negative role in Aitraz, has expressed her wish to play a glorified vamp again. “It’s good to be bad,” PC giggled when we asked her about her latest desire.
We hear that it was the success of Don 2 that prompted PC to try her hand at going grey again. She is currently in talks with her filmmaker friends to script her a role that has a negative streak a mile wide. “Right now, Priyanka’s plate is full. She is busy shooting and promoting her films, but she is always open to hearing new scripts. You never know, a good role may just be around the corner,” says an aide of the actress.
While an author-backed negative role may just be what the doctor ordered for PC, we can’t help but think back to 7 Khoon Maaf, which ended rather badly for all parties concerned. Perhaps grey isn’t the best colour for PC?
