Indian police said on Monday they were hunting for a man on a motorbike suspected of attaching a device to an Israeli diplomat's car shortly before it exploded in New Delhi.
"According to an eyewitness who was present... he saw a man on a motorbike sticking some kind of a device on the rear side of the car," police commissioner B.K. Gupta told reporters.
"Just a few seconds after the car exploded," he added.
He said three Indians sustained minor injuries in the attack as well as the diplomat, a 42-year-old female embassy employee who was in hospital but "conscious."
"She's conscious and alert. We don't see that there is any danger to her life," Gupta said, adding that the woman worked at the embassy and was also the wife of the defence attache.
