A Mumbai housewife and her paramour entered into a suicide pact in the housewife’s Malad residence on Friday afternoon.
The pact, however, went awry when the woman rushed out of her house, screaming and bleeding from a slit throat, which alerted the neighbours who rushed them both to hospital. According to the Malad police, the residents of the fifth floor were alerted by the sound of screaming, and they rushed out to see Sonal Goyani (33) thrashing about on the floor, bleeding from the throat. When they entered her house, they found that the bathroom door was locked. A team of policemen broke the bathroom door down and found a man in his thirties also bleeding from the throat. The man was later identified as Jayesh Goswami (35).
