Russian citizens in Kerala on Friday cast their votes for the presidential election in their country at the Honorary Russian Consulate here.
Russian Honorary Consul Ratheesh C Nair said 47 Russians turned up to cast their votes in the polls, presided over by three officials deputed from the country's consulate in Chennai.
The Russians working at Kudankulam Nuclear Plant in Tamil Nadu had cast their votes on Thursday.
Arrangements for voting has also been made at the Russian Embassy in Delhi and consulates in Mumbai, Kolkota and Chennai.
Those who turned up to vote included business travellers and tourists now present in the state, Nair said.
"Russia is one of the few countries in the world that facilitate its citizens abroad cast their votes for presidential election", Nair told.
Ballots and other poll material for the vote were brought in a diplomatic bag from the Russian Consulate in Chennai.
The Russian Cultural Centre here was elevated as Honorary Consulate in 2008.
