Just when you feel you have figured out Aamir Khan, he throws yet another curve ball at you. The actor-producer has just postponed the release of Talaash from June to November and this sudden unexpected move is very likely to change a few equations at the box office.
An analyst says, “Now that Talaash has been struck off from June, Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar immediately booked the June 1 slot and even Teri Meri Kahaani with Priyanka Chopra and Kunal Khemu are eyeing the same date.”
But the real mayhem will occur in November. “Though Aamir has made it clear that he will stay away from Diwali releases such as Shah Rukh’s untitled film, Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar and Akshay’s Khiladi 786, he will be locking horns with Race 2, ” says an insider. Even Farhan Akhtar’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is expected around the same time. “Farhan, who’s also the producer of Talaash may have to juggle between both the films at that time,” the insider adds.
It’s yet to be seen if Aamir’s decision affects the shoot of Dhoom 3 and Rock On 2. But knowing Aamir, he may already have a solution ready.
