Choosing between two leads

Followed by the grand success of Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and its Telugu version titled Ye Maaya Chesavo, filmmaker Gowtham Menon is all set to remake the film in Hindi.
According to a source, the filmmaker is in pursuit of an actor to play the lead role. He is in talks with both Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapur for this romantic venture. A.R. Rahman will be retaining the same tunes as the original Tamil film, for the Hindi remake. However, there will be an additional song.
Menon will produce the film in collaboration with a Hindi film studio. The Tamil version had Silambarasan and Trisha in lead roles, was released on February 26. It was a big box-office success.
