Lalu jokes: I am 48, Rabri is 55

“I am just 48, but she (wife Rabri Devi) is 55,” RJD chief Lalu Prasad quipped while being enumerated for the 2010 Census.
So was she elder to him?

“I don’t know ... She may be,” he said in his usual jocular manner when asked by the mediapersons present.
He later cleared the air saying he was born in 1948 and Rabri Devi in 1955.
On a more serious note he said, “We hope the caste-wise Census will begin from February 2011 after getting the approval of the Union Cabinet.” Meanwhile, talking on the Naxal issue, Mr Yadav held Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh, who has described Maoists as “biggest terrorists”, responsible for the spread of Maoism in his state. —PTI
