A prisoner, lodged in Tihar jail Delhi, has escaped after sedating policemen from Kota railway station.
Aamir Khan, lodged under the NDPC Act which deals with drug offences, escaped last evening after giving eatables laced with sedatives to policemen escorting him, GRP source said.
The policemen, identified as Anil Kumar, Satveer, Ranveer Singh and Anil, were rushed to a local hospital in an unconscious state.
The inmate is a native of Bhopal, police said.
An alert has been sounded and officials are co-ordinating with their Madhya Pradesh counterparts to trace whereabouts of the absconder.
