[1]V. Sriram Balaji surprised journalists by telling people that November 21, 2030, would be a Thursday.
The Class V student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in IIT-M demonstrated the unique talent of telling people the day of the week for any date between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2034.
The child could also come out with the date when given the day of the week for the same period.
“We were surprised to find he had this talent. He was just like any other child of his age and was termed a weak student till a few months ago.
However, suddenly he started doing well in studies. One day, when he was playing with his sister, he was able to answer all days and dates correctly and we were astonished by the speed with which he came up with the replies,” said his father, G. Velusamy, a businessman.
Sriram’s father noted that the child was talking only about dates and days till 2030. However, on Tuesday, when a journalist showed him a mobile phone calendar, he looked at it for two minutes and began answering questions till 2034.
“We were taken aback by his talent. We will encourage him and channel his potential into something positive. We might also teach him some mind games,” he said.
