GMR Infrastructure on Tuesday said that its net profit has declined 43.31 per cent to Rs 158.40 crore in the fiscal 2010 from Rs 279.45 crore in the same period a year ago.
Revenue, however, has gone up by 14 per cent at Rs 4,566.5 crore in FY10 from Rs 4,019.2 crore in FY09. The decline in net profit, according to the company, is mainly due to the absence of revenues from the decommissioned 235 MW barge mounted power plant during the year.
Commenting on the performance of the full year, Mr G.M. Rao, the group chairman, said, “The year gone by has been satisfying on all fronts as we created a robust platform of sustainable long-term growth for our company. With three airports, 13 power plants, nine highways, we have positioned ourselves as
a strong, infrastructure developer known for world-class quality delivered on time.”

NCC net up 54% in FY10

May 25: Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) on Tuesday said its net profit jumped nearly three-folds to Rs 102.61 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, over the same period, a year ago.
Total income rose to Rs 1,522.71 crore in the January-March quarter from Rs 1,098 crore in the same period in the previous fiscal, NCC said. The board has proposed a dividend of Rs 1.30 per share for the year ended 2009-10.
For the year ended March 31, the Hyderabad-based company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 286 crore, up 54.59 per cent, over the same year-ago period.
