Medical Education Minister S.A. Ramdas on Sunday said that a meeting has been convened with representatives of private medical and dental institutions on Monday at Bengaluru to decide on seat-sharing. Speaking to reporters, Mr Ramdas clarified that though Comed-K entrance test was conducted before CET, the counseling for CET candidates will be conducted first filling the government seats, followed by the Comed-K counseling.
Nearly 80,700 students across the State are writing the test for under-graduate medical, engineering and dental courses. Mr Ramdas said the e-answers of the subjects for which exams were being held will be displayed on the CET website, which was welcomed by students as the process will ensure transparency.Mr Ramdas also announced that a new health policy was on the anvil which will make it mandatory for all government hospitals to treat haemophilia patients.
