Duta threatens to stay away from admissions

The Duta have threatened to stay away from admission process this academic session allegedly over the vice-chancellor’s arbitrary ways of imposing semester system. In a general body meeting of science teachers held on Wednesday, the science teachers resolved to keep themselves away from all kinds of work involved in the implementation of the semester system.

“General Body of Science Teachers, comprising departments of physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, electronics and computer science, met at Kirorimal College and resolved that the teachers will not be a part of admission process this academic session,” Duta secretary Vinay Kumar Singh said.
Geneal Body of Science Teachers chairman Indermohan Kapahy said, “We reject the semester system illegally and undemocratically assembled by the V-C. We will not participate in any way in teaching of any course illegally made under the system.”
