Sitting barely a kilometre away from the anti-terrorism squad in Habib Mansion, Byculla, the two bomb planters in the July 13 blasts were keeping a tab on all the investigations and developments in the case till October 4.
This has come to light after the Forensics Scientific Laboratory report, part of the chargesheet filed on Friday, listed details of the data collected from the hard disk of the computer the two had acquired.
A pen drive and a desktop were among a few things left behind by Waqas Sheikh and Danish, alias Tabrez, who abruptly left the rented room in Byculla sometime in November. The ATS had then sent the recovered items for forensics analysis.
According to the FSL report, the Internet history suggests that the two visited Web portals where news stories on the blasts were published, while they also read reports ranging from what explosives were used in the blast to who was the most wanted Al Qaeda operative for the US.
This also included a report in which investigators claim-ed to have identified the perpetrators of the blasts.
On September 30, a special news feature on the blunders committed by various enforcement agencies tracking IM terror modules was also found in the Internet history. The duo also read a news report published in a national daily, which detailed the explosives used in the making of the three bombs.
A special report on the ATS having identified the planter of the bomb at Zaveri Bazaar was also browsed on October 3. The FSL stated that files related to Mumbai maps, razor concepts, DTMF Decoder Circuits and e-books were recovered from pen drive.
