The annual whale shark festival that enters its fifth edition, will be held in Mexico this year. The festival, that’s evidently not for the fainthearted, will give visitors a chance to swim with 40-feet long sharks. There are about 1,400 whale sharks that transit the Caribbean this time of the year and this is what festival organisers capitalise on. The four-day festival will be a mish mash of traditional dance performances, costume contests, lectures and beach activities.
