A Kargil war widow, 33-year-old Ramadevi, approached the SHRC complaining that she was illegally detained.
Ms Ramadevi, a resident of Komarolu village of Prakasam district, alleged that the Bodhan police had kept her in illegal detention for three days and forced her to strike a compromise in a civil case.
She was allotted an LPG dealership under the defence quota and had appointed one G. Adinarayana as manager. She alleged that the manager swindled money and also foisted a false case against her.
She complained that no action was taken against the manager and Bodhan CI B. Shankaraiah and SI Ch Suresh Babu kept her under detention forcing her to accept a compromise.
