Egypt's prosecutor general ordered the transfer of Hosni Mubarak to jail on Saturday after a judge gave him a life sentence for involvement in the killing of protesters during the uprising that toppled him.
The ailing 84-year-old Mubarak, who had been held in a military hospital on the outskirts of Cairo, arrived later at the medical wing of Tora prison, a security official said.
