Akshay Kumar is not the kind of actor to talk big. While his contemporaries may hype up their upcoming films while promoting them and set targets for themselves, Akki quietly goes about his business. So while one was surprised to see him talk up Rowdy Rathore, its first weekend’s performance itself is enough proof that Akki has hit the sweet spot with this one.
“Rowdy Rathore is creating a ruckus at the box office. The film has notched up `50 crores in the first weekend itself, and is still drawing a good response from the masses. It’s looking like Akki could create history here, and have his second success in a row after Housefull 2,” says a trade pundit.
“Though Akki is not the kind who makes tall promises before his films, in his heart he knew this one had enough ‘dum’ to cross the `100 crore mark. Now achieving the landmark looks all but a cakewalk, further igniting the competition among the top actors of the industry,” says a source close to the actor.
