Google TV, the exciting venture of Google in partnership with Intel and Sony is the next big thing. It has been created with the aim to fuse Web with television and it comes with a set-top box called Buddy Box.
Techno freaks in the capital are excited about the new technology and can’t wait to use it. Saurabh Sinha, a computer engineer says, “With players like Tata and Reliance in the market, I hope Google TV will be available to Indian customers. The already existing set top boxes should be able to accommodate this new feature. It is exciting to think that the ease of Google search would soon be available for searching my favourite shows and episodes much faster.”
Google TV is enabled with features that can help you choose your favourite programme in an easier and faster manner. Sutapa Sen, an IT professional says, “I think this technology will bring the Web into the living room, and make TV viewing easier and smarter. I have read about it on the Internet and I feel it will be very convenient for people, who want to enjoy browsing and watching TV together.”
People who are addicted to social networking sites can also check the latest updates and watch shows simultaneously on it.
Sarthak Sharma, an advertising professional opines, “I feel it will be a great help for people, who are addicted to their BBs or laptops for checking updates and status messages. Now you can check mails during commercial breaks.”
